NICK NEUMANN

Born - City + State

Downtown San Francisco

How did you arrive at this point in time with this current project?

I wanted to create something real, offline. My goal was to put my photos up in a gallery. When we hit the road I photographed our experience.

Do you work with a team?

This was a solo project, but I could not have done it without the support of my copilot, Thaís on the journey, my father with the book and collaborating with David on this exhibition.

How do you feel about collaborative work?

I created Breaking Borders with my friends Walker and Chris. Walker and I have worked together for years making videos. Highways gave me a chance to find my own voice and branch out on my own.

What keeps you motivated as an Artist and compelled to look into future work?

Bringing people together. Sharing positive stories. Being the change I want to see.

What statement best fits this current body of work?

Get off your screen and onto the road. You never know where you’ll end up or who you'll meet.

What are you trying to tell the world about you and this Art?

That we are not as divided as it may seem. Most people are just trying to live life to the fullest - in their own way. Trust and smiles can take you a long way.

Who in your life Inspires You?

In terms of travel and exploration I was inspired by Bourdain, Kerouac and the early Vice Guides to Travel, especially the one in Liberia.

Do you or have you had a Mentor?

My parents. My Dad helped me through the book process, and all creative endeavors. My Mom has always been my guiding light and biggest supporter.

Do you have a Muse?

Meu amor Thaís

Do you Dream in color?

I don’t remember my dreams…

Are you living the Dream?

Living it!

Who would you love to work or collaborate with?

I’d like to work with Wim Wenders. He made one of my favorite documentaries in recent years, Salt of the Earth. He’s a legend I would love to learn from.

Are we Born Creative or is it Developed?

Everyone is creative, but if you don’t have the support or resources you may never tap into it.

If you can pick one song that best represents you, what would it be?

“I'm leaving, don't nobody worry

I'll be doing my damn thing quick-fast in a hurry

Dream weaving keeping me and my team even shifting time zones

Trying to see the seven seas and everything in between”

  • Make Your Move by Hieroglyphics

If you we're an Inanimate Object, what would best represent you?

A camera - Always observing

Do you have a favorite Quote?

"Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life — and travel — leaves marks on you.”

AUDREY KRAL

Born - City + State

Wilmington, Delaware

How did you arrive at this point in time with this current project?

Magically! Near the end of 2024, I decided to create a solo show that integrates a significant collection of recent works into my ongoing Dreamscape series. At the same time, I was seeking the right moment to share my poetry. Venus and Victory presented the perfect opportunity, offering both the space and timing to bring these creative elements together. We had been looking for a way to collaborate, combining our shared aesthetic, and this project beautifully brought that vision to life.

How do you feel about collaborative work?

Every New Year, I choose a guiding word or concept to shape how I live and engage with the world. For 2025, my focus is on creative collaboration and wisdom integration. I'm thrilled to embrace opportunities to expand collaborative efforts and watch how these experiences enrich the creative journey of myself and others as the year progresses.

What keeps you motivated as an Artist and compelled to look into future work?

Sharing my artwork and poems motivates me to continue. The joy and pleasure of creating is a satisfaction that grows and expands as I experience more wonder and awe in life. I’m also driven by an endless curiosity to explore new ideas and perspectives, and the creative process itself—full of challenges and discoveries—keeps me inspired. The future holds infinite possibilities and the excitement of exploring the interconnectedness of all things compels me to keep evolving and pushing my work further.

What statement best fits this current body of work?

This current body of work draws inspiration from Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue. Davis based the album entirely on modality, giving each performer a set of scales that defined the boundaries of their improvisation, offering them greater creative freedom within those parameters. The concept resonated deeply with me, as I often find myself drawn to the color blue—making it a kind of double entendre, where both the musical structure and my personal connection to the color inform the work.

What are you trying to tell the world about you and this Art?

I want to tell the world through my art and actions that there is only One within the immense diversity of Being. We are eternal, even as we experience the constantly shifting, ever more intricate dance of life.  There is no real separation anywhere; experience depends on awareness. My goal is for my art to connect people to the awareness of being and the peace found in unity, stillness, and beauty.

Who in your life Inspires You?

Everyone I meet! And especially my partner and my sister.

Do you or have you had a Mentor?

Whoah! So many mentors; too many to name them here, mostly in the realm of wisdom and contemplation.

Do you have a Muse?

Nature is my muse, especially the movement and reflections in, around, and from water. All sensations become my muse, inspiring me to explore the endless interplay between experience and expression.

Do you Dream in color?

Yes, although there are many dreams that are sensations without form or color.

Are you living the Dream?

Yes! It seems to me that we are all dreamers, creating and experiencing life through the lens of our perceptions and beliefs. What we often see as an external world may actually be a reflection of our inner landscape. The line between dreaming and living blurs when we realize that existence itself is an unfolding creation of our consciousness. Living the dream, for me, means embracing this awareness and participating fully in the beauty and mystery of life.

Who would you love to work or collaborate with?

I would love to collaborate on a screenplay or children's books with people who are writing unique, visionary stories for humanity—stories where we are thriving as wildly creative yet thoughtful beings. These narratives would move beyond the traditional reliance on conflict, war, or tension to drive the plot. Instead, they would celebrate cooperation, collaboration, and the limitless potential of human imagination to achieve meaningful goals and inspire positive change.

Are we Born Creative or is it Developed?

Both!

If you could pick one song that best represents you, what would it be?

A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain That Rules From The Centre Of The Ultraworld (Orbital Dance Mix)

If you could pick one color that resonates with you, what would it be?

A mix of alizarin crimson and phthalo green, which creates a vibrant, transparent, and gorgeously rich hue that resonates deeply with me.

If you were an Inanimate Object, what would best represent you?

Lava lamp, for sure!

And Stained glass windows.

Do you have a favorite Quote?

I have a whole document where I collect quotes I love. Here is one, “Home, is where I want to be

But I guess I'm already there.” Talking Heads

If you had one Tagline or Hash Tag, what is it?

@OneLove

And last but not least, when everything is said and done... What would you want your Epitaph to read?

“I’m going to dust off my stars, I’ll be right back.”
